AI News Worth Knowing

The PLR Curator Daily.

PLR. AI. One small step at a time.

Hey Friend,

Happy Monday!

Hope you enjoyed your first day of summer!

Quick one today. As of June 12, OpenAI pulled GPT-5.2 out of ChatGPT completely. If you were using it, you’ve been auto-switched to GPT-5.5 and might not have even noticed.

Here’s the bigger story: OpenAI isn’t just updating models anymore, they’re pushing everyone toward “agents” that handle whole workflows instead of answering one question at a time.

What this means for you: the tools you use for PLR and content creation are shifting fast. Don’t get attached to one specific model or workflow. Stay light on your feet.

If You’re Still Using GPTs, Read This

While we’re on the topic of tools shifting under our feet, I want to talk about something a lot of you are still relying on: custom GPTs.

If you’ve built one (or several), here’s something worth knowing. GPTs have a hard character limit on their instructions. That limit forces you to compress, trim, and leave things out, even things that matter. You end up cramming your voice, your context, your rules, and your examples into a box that was never big enough to begin with. That’s part of why so many custom GPTs still sound a little generic, even after hours of tweaking.

Skills don’t have that problem.

A skill isn’t squeezed into one tiny instruction field. It can carry full context, detailed examples, multiple reference files, voice guides, frameworks, whatever it actually takes to do the job right. Nothing gets cut for space. And because of that, skills consistently perform as well as or better than the GPTs people spent months refining.

Here’s the practical takeaway: if you’ve built a GPT that does something useful for your business, whether it’s writing in your voice, generating a specific kind of content, or running a repeatable process, it’s worth considering whether that same logic would work better rebuilt as a skill. You’re not starting from zero. You already did the hard part, figuring out what the tool should do. Now it’s just a matter of moving it into a format that doesn’t force you to shrink it down.

This is exactly the kind of shift I’ve been making across my own business lately. Several of the GPTs I built early on have already been rebuilt as skills, and the difference in output quality and consistency has been noticeable.

Ready to Make the Switch?

If you’d rather not figure this out from scratch, I’ve already done the heavy lifting. The Nimble Skills Bundle gives you a set of ready-to-use, professionally built skills so you can see exactly what a well-built skill looks like and start using that format right away, no trial and error required.

If you want help thinking through which of your GPTs might be worth converting instead, just reply and let me know what it does. I’m happy to help you map it out.

Be well. 💛 Sharon
